Our Year 10 GCSE Science course is designed to help students build a strong understanding of GCSE Biology and Chemistry while following the AQA curriculum.

Throughout the course, students will cover the key Biology and Chemistry topics required for GCSE Science, developing their subject knowledge step by step. Lessons focus on understanding important scientific concepts, applying knowledge to exam-style questions and improving the skills needed for GCSE exams.

In Biology, students will study topics including cells, organisation, infection and response, bioenergetics, homeostasis, inheritance, variation, ecology and other key areas of the AQA GCSE Biology specification.

In Chemistry, students will cover topics including atomic structure, bonding, quantitative chemistry, chemical changes, energy changes, rates of reaction, organic chemistry, chemical analysis, chemistry of the atmosphere and using resources.

Each lesson includes clear teaching, worked examples, practice questions and GCSE exam-style questions. Students will also learn how to interpret data, understand practical investigations and use scientific terminology accurately.

The aim of this Year 10 Science course is not simply to memorise facts, but to help students understand the concepts behind Biology and Chemistry so that they can confidently apply their knowledge to different types of GCSE questions.

By developing a strong foundation during Year 10, students will be better prepared for more advanced GCSE Science work, revision and past-paper practice as they move towards their final exams.

This course is suitable for Year 10 students studying AQA GCSE Science who would benefit from structured weekly tuition in Biology and Chemistry, regular practice and clear explanations of challenging topics.

Please note: This course focuses on Biology and Chemistry. Physics is not included.
